Ventnor is situated on the Isle of Wight, a small Island off the south coast of England, separated from the mainland by the Solent. Regular ferry crossings depart from Southampton, Portsmouth and Lymington, as well as a hovercraft route which operates from Southsea. Ferry crossings vary from around 20 - 45mins depending on which route you take. For more information visit :

Getting to Ventnor once on the Island…
Ventnor is situated on the south east tip of the Island, around 45 minutes drive from most ferry terminals.
By Train
Island Line train services run from Ryde Pier Head (next to the Wightlink FastCat Service from Portsmouth) to Shanklin from which a Raillink bus runs between the station and Ventnor, approximately 10 to 15 minutes away.

By Bus
Regular buses depart from Ryde and Newport to Ventnor (every 30mins) on routes 3 and 6. From Yarmouth and Cowes ports you will need to travel via Newport on the 7 or 38 respectively.

For those travelling by car please be aware that parking in the centre of Ventnor is limited, especially during Carnival nights. Full details of parking facilities will be made available nearer the time.
