The Ventnor Fringe is the Isle of Wight's take on the famous Edinburgh Fringe, an open access arts festival which aims to create a unique cultural hub, with events taking place in venues across the eclectic town of Ventnor, on the southern tip of the Island.

Created by a team of ambitious teenagers in 2010, over 200 artists have already taken part in the Fringe, including Johnny Flynn, Marques Toliver, Dizraeli and the Small Gods, Vincent Moon, Gaspar Claus, Ragroof Theatre and many others.

Over time we hope to return Ventnor to it's roots as a health spa and source of inspiration for a new generation of artists, as it was for the likes of Dickens, Swinburne and Tennyson.

The Fringe's third edition with take place from Wednesday 15th - Saturday 18th August 2012, to coincide with the 123rd Ventnor Carnival, and already looks set to be the most ambitious yet. Applications are now open for artists of any creative discipline to take part.
